The General Assembly (GA) of Scientists includes all employee whose basic employment is with IMI and who hold academic position or academic degree.

The GA adopts, amends, supplements the Statutes of IMI; elects and recalls its representatives in the General Assembly of BAS; chooses, changes, and complements the membership of the Scientific Council of IMI; discusses the programmes of the candidates for Director of IMI and approves the reports of IMI together with the Scientific Council.
