A talk on:

On the subregularity of mappings associated to optimization problems

will be delivered by Alberto Dominguez Corella, University of Graz, Austria.

Abstract: This talk is meant as a nontechnical discussion on the concept of metric subregularity and its application to the study of stability in optimization problems. It features equivalences between the property and local error bounds, as well as theoretical applications, e.g., discretization, approximation, and differentiation with respect to parameters. We describe several concrete applications, including inverse problems and optimal control. The talk will be based on several joint works with Nicolai Jork, Vladimir Veliov, Trı Minh Le and Eduardo Casas.
