NATIONAL MATHEMATICS COLLOQUIUM

The next meeting of the National Mathematics Colloquium will be held on February 15, 2023 (Wednesday) at 4:15 pm EET (UTC +2) in the Conference Room of IMI – BAS.

A talk on:

GOLDBERG CONJECTURE

will be delivered by Acad. Oleg Mushkarov,
Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

The meeting is dedicated to:

The 50th anniversary of the National Mathematics Colloquium
The 125th anniversary of the Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians
The International Year of Basic Sciences for Sustainable Development 2022/2023

Abstract. In 1969, S. Goldberg conjectured that every Einstein symplectic structure on a compact manifold is Kähler-Einstein. This conjecture has not yet been proven and the talk will review the most important results in this direction. Some related open questions that provide new directions for the development of almost Hermitian geometry will also be addressed.

Everybody is invited.
