Burau Representation and Application to Reducibility and Exchangeability of Braids

Абстракт. I will give an introduction to the braid groups, closure operation, Markov theorem, and exchange move. Then I will introduce the Burau representation, and discuss its application to reducibiliy and exchangeability of braids.
