DESCRIPTION:Секция “Математически основи на информатиката” към ИМИ – БАН\, \nВи кани на поредната сбирка на семинара си\, на която \nПетър Драгнев\, Purdue University Fort Wayne\, ще изнесе доклад на тема: \nQuadrature Domains and Equilibrium on the Spherе. \nРезюме. Consider the unit sphere as a conductor\, and place a unit charge on it which is free to redistribute into the configuration of lowest possible logarithmic energy. Then place finitely many point charges onto the sphere to constitute an external field. In the presence of this external field\, what is the support of the new equilibrium configuration of the initial unit charge? We’ll show that the answer involves planar quadrature domains. \nСеминарът ще се проведе на 12 април 2019 г. от 14:00 часа в зала 503 на ИМИ-БАН.
