DESCRIPTION:На 10 октомври 2025 г. (петък) от 13:00 часа в зала 578 на ИМИ-БАН и онлайн чрез платформата zoom ще се проведе съвместно заседание на семинара по Алгебра и логика и на семинара на секция “Диференциални уравнения и математическа физика”. \nДоклад на тема \nOn Z5 reduction of soliton equations related to sl(5) algebra\n ще изнесе \nВладимир Герджиков (ИМИ-БАН)\, \nсъвместна работа с Б. Костадинов (ИМИ-БАН)\, С. Мишев (НБУ) и А. Стефанов (ФМИ-СУ). \nРезюме: Recently a new approach to the integrable systems\, extending and generalizing the ISM was formulated. It is based on an effective parametrization of the Riemann-Hilbert problem\, which allows one to extend the class of Lax pairs and effectively derive only the corresponding NLEE as compatibility condition of two linear problems. This method is based on the possibility to treat the solution of the RHP as a fundamental analytic solution of the Lax pair\, and then to apply the dressing Zakharov-Shabat method for deriving the soliton solutions of the NLEE. The aim of the present paper is to extend Mikhailov Z5 reduction group to the parametrization of the Z5 RHP. DESCRIPTION:Следващата сбирка на Семинара по приложна математика ще се проведе на 15.10 (сряда) от 15:00 в зала 503 на ИМИ-БАН. \nДоклад на тема \nStochastic scattering control of Walsh’s spider diffusion with optimal diffraction probability measure selected from its own local-time\nще изнесе Исаак Охави\, който работи в обалсти като стохастичен контрол\, стохастична оптимизация и частни диференциални уравнения. \nAbstract: In this talk\, we start by giving a short introduction on “classical” stochastic control theory and its connection with second order nonlinear PDE theory. Then\, we present Walsh’s spider diffusions living on a star-shaped network\, and explain how these processes are at the origin of new problems of stochastic scattering control. A main direction is to focus and understand precisely their behavior and local time at the vertex. Thereafter\, we will give the main ideas\, steps and mathematical directions that I have recently undertaken in order to finally be able to prove existence and weak uniqueness of a spider’s motion having a spinning measure depending on its own local time. \nThe stochastic control problem aims to understand how the spider particle is diffracted at the vertex. The key point is to use the new boundary condition at the junction point\, called: nonlinear local-time Kirchhoff’s boundary condition and the recent advances I have obtained in the analysis of nonlinear partial differential equations in the viscosity framework. \nReferences:  \n–Comparison principle for Walsh’s spider HJB equations with non linear local time Kirchhoff’s boundary transmission. DESCRIPTION:Дата и час: 20.10.2025 г.\, 14:00 ч.\nМясто: Зала 578\, ИМИ – БАН \nЗаглавие на доклада: \nThe complete intersection discrepancy of curves\nДокладчик: Andrei Bengus-Lasnier (ИМИ – БАН) \nРезюме: In this talk I will introduce an invariant for reduced curves called the complete intersection discrepancy (cid for short). This numerical quantity arose naturally when trying to generalize known formulas for complete intersection curves to general curves. The cid then serves as a correction term in these formulas. \nI will present some of the cid’s basic properties and derive two formulas. The first relates basic invariants such as Milnor number\, its multiplicity and the multiplicity of its Jacobian ideal\, and generalizes a well-known result in singularity theory due to Lê\, Greuel and Teissier. The second formula is a generalization of the genus-degree formula for projective curves.\n\nThis work is in collaboration with Antoni Rangachev and Terence Gaffney.
