SUMMARY:BGSIAM'17: Дванадесета годишна среща на българската секция на SIAM
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n  \n12th Annual Meeting of the Bulgarian Section of SIAM\nDecember 20 – 22\, 2017\, Sofia\, Bulgaria\n(BGSIAM’17)\nPROGRAM \n \n\n\n\nThe event is organized by the Bulgarian Section of SIAM and will be hosted by the Institute of Mechanics\, Bulgarian Academy of Science. \nTopics\nFollowing the traditions\, the topics of interest include (but are not limited to): industrial mathematics; scientific computing; numerical methods and algorithms; hierarchical and multilevel methods; high performance computing; partial differential equations and their applications; control and uncertain systems; Monte Carlo and quasi-Monte Carlo methods; neural networks\, metaheuristics and genetic algorithms. \nScientific Program\nThe scientific program of BGSIAM’17 will include: plenary invited talks\, contributed talks\, and poster session. BGSIAM encourages the organization of special sessions\, including young researchers sessions. \nPlenary Invited Speakers\nKrassimir Atanassov (Bulgarian Academy of Sciences)\n“Generalized Nets – Theory and Applications” \nPeter Minev (University of Alberta\, Canada)\n“High-order Artificial Compressibility for the Navier-Stokes Equations” \nMaya Neytcheva (Uppsala University\, Sweden)\n“Enhanced degree of parallelism when solving optimal control problems constrained by evolution equations” \nZahari Zlatev  (Aarhus University\, Denmark)\n“Application of repeated Richardson Extrapolation in the treatment of some chemical modules of environmental pollution models” \nAbstracts and Papers\nThe participants\, who are going to give a talk during this event\, are kindly asked to send an Extended Abstract (up to two pages using the template or 3600 characters) until November 20\, 2017. A booklet with the extended abstracts will be available before the meeting. \nProceedings of refereed and presented papers will be published as a special volume of Springer Series\, Studies in Computational Intelligence. The length of the papers is limited up to 12 pages. It is highly recommended to prepare the source files for the papers in LaTeX using the provided  template files. The deadline for submission of manuscripts is January 31\, 2018. \nThe abstracts and papers are to be sent to: georgiev@parallel.bas.bg with a copy to ivan.georgiev@parallel.bas.bg.
