The initiative is implemented in cooperation between the Cyril and Methodius Scientific Center at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Center for Slavic-Byzantine Studies “Prof. Ivan Duychev” at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and the National Library “St. St. Cyril and Methodius”.

This year’s edition is attended by 26 young researchers from Bulgaria, Italy, Serbia, France, Romania, Poland and Russia, selected through a scholarship competition. Over the next few days, they will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the field of Slavic Cyrillic paleography and codicology, combining theoretical training with practical classes, working with manuscripts and applying modern digital methods for their research.

On behalf of the IMI-BAS, a team from the “Mathematical Linguistics” Department, headed by Prof. Desislava Paneva-Marinova, is participating in the school.
